These terms apply when you use this website, request an estimate, exchange text messages with us, or hire Montana Tree and Forest for tree work in Billings and Yellowstone County, Montana.

Estimates and quotes

Estimates are free and given in writing. Prices are based on what we can see and what you tell us. If conditions turn out to be different once we are on site, such as hidden decay, buried utilities, or restricted access, we will talk with you before doing extra work or changing the price. An estimate is not a binding contract until both sides agree to the scope and the date.

Scheduling and weather

Tree work depends on wind, ice, and safety. We may reschedule a job when conditions are unsafe for the crew or your property. Emergency and storm calls are handled in the order they come in and by severity.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that you own the property or have permission to have the work done, and that you have told us about anything buried, hidden, or fragile in the work zone, including sprinklers, septic systems, pet fences, and utilities. Please keep people, pets, and vehicles clear of the work area.

Power lines and utilities

We cannot legally work on a limb or tree in contact with an energized conductor. Contact your utility first so they can de-energize the line, then call us.

Payment

Payment is due when the work is complete unless we agree otherwise in writing. Deposits may be required on larger jobs. Cancellations should be made as early as possible so we can fill the slot.

Text messaging terms

By providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts, you consent to receive SMS messages from Montana Tree and Forest about your estimate, scheduling, crew arrival, and job follow-up. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or call (406) 413-9446. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your number is described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell or share mobile numbers with third parties for marketing.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by Montana law, our liability for any claim connected to this website is limited to the amount you paid us for services. Work we perform is covered by the agreement and coverage in place for that job.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, with venue in Yellowstone County.
